
A Harlem teenager is lucky to be alive after a bullet grazed his head when a gunman opened fire into a crowd near West 124th Street and Lenox Avenue on Tuesday night, police said. The 17-year-old was rushed by EMS to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
According to PIX11, the shots were fired at about 8:57 p.m. Officers told the outlet the teen was grazed on the right side of his head. Witnesses said the shooter ran from the scene and was last seen heading north on Lenox Avenue. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.

Detectives are now banking on witnesses and cellphone cameras to fill in the gaps. Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area to preserve any video they captured and share it with police. Authorities say tips can be submitted anonymously and may be eligible for rewards in some cases.
