City leaders and developers cut the ribbon Thursday on shareWESTSIDE, a five-story complex that is set to bring 104 modern apartments and a sizable workforce-housing component to Las Vegas’ Historic Westside. Rising at 1100 D Street, the project is planned to feature ground-floor retail, public art and shared spaces aimed at serving both residents and neighbors. Leasing and move-ins are scheduled for winter 2026, and the developer has already started offering hard-hat tours to potential tenants.

The ceremony and a brief announcement were highlighted by the City of Las Vegas on X, which described shareWESTSIDE as a “new residential community” that will add workforce housing and community-focused amenities to the Historic Westside, according to City of Las Vegas. The city’s post and photos from the event are embedded below.

What shareWESTSIDE Will Include

The new building will consist of 104 one-bedroom units averaging about 580 square feet, with 84 of those reserved as workforce housing. Rents for the workforce units are reported to start near $1,275 per month, according to Nevada Business Magazine. Planned amenities include a larger co-working HQ, a fitness center with Peloton access, a private movie room and a community kitchen hospitality area. To honor the site’s past, the development team says it is incorporating salvaged items from the New Jerusalem church that previously stood on the property.

Local artists are in the process of painting four large exterior murals that celebrate Westside culture, and managing partner Jason LeDell told 8 News Now that many of the apartments will be aimed at households earning between 80 and 120 percent of area median income. LeDell described shareWESTSIDE as one of the first major private investments in the Historic Westside in decades and said the team hopes the project will help spark additional local development and jobs. Project partners and community members have been positioning the complex as both needed housing and neighborhood infrastructure.

Small Business Space and Community Programs

The shareWESTSIDE building sits next to The Good Word Social Club, a market-hall-style venue designed to support local vendors and community programming that broke ground earlier this year, per Fabulous Nevada. The City of Las Vegas has been marketing the ground-floor retail at shareWESTSIDE as part of its broader downtown redevelopment work on its official City of Las Vegas site. Developers are pairing the complex with a Path to Homeownership savings program for residents, as reported by Multifamily Executive.

Leasing, Tours and Where to Sign Up

Hard-hat tours kicked off in April, and the developer is gathering an interest list for early leasing. Prospective tenants can register and see leasing information via the project’s shareDOWNTOWN page. The ground floor is earmarked for neighborhood-serving retail, and recent permits and filings indicate that local food and beverage tenants have been considered for the space. Cherry Development has also said a limited number of furnished units will be available once leasing opens.

City officials say shareWESTSIDE is part of a larger effort to reinvest in the Historic Westside and align with the city’s downtown HUNDRED Plan for revitalization, as reflected in the city’s project listings. For residents, the complex adds new housing near job and training centers; for artists and small businesses, it brings fresh spaces to work, sell and showcase their contributions to the neighborhood.
