Mason Technologies has kicked off construction on a new $30 million corporate headquarters at the Long Island Innovation Park in Hauppauge, turning a longtime industrial site into what company leaders bill as a tech-forward home base and jobs hub. The family-owned low-voltage integration firm is planning a roughly 69,000-square-foot building with a 2,800-square-foot atrium and a dedicated exhibition and event space for demos and client showcases. Executives, employees and county officials gathered at the site to celebrate the start of the project.

Plans Call for a Custom HQ on Oser Avenue

Long Island Business News reported that Mason will tear down the existing 50,000-square-foot structure at 395 Oser Avenue and replace it with a roughly 69,120-square-foot headquarters and warehouse as part of a roughly $29.9 million project. The updated plan calls for a mix of office and warehouse space plus a showroom and also leaves room for a potential future expansion of about 30,000 square feet.

Jobs, Incentives and a Sustainability Pledge

Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency records show that Mason has committed to add 25 full-time positions as part of the project and that the IDA revised its incentive package to back the new build. Those filings also note the project qualified for Solar-Up Suffolk benefits in exchange for installing rooftop solar panels, a deal that trims projected property taxes while promoting clean energy.

Founder Says the Space Will Showcase Next-Gen Tech

“Everything we do is guided by the Mason Way,” founder and CEO Jennifer Mason said, adding that “Mason’s new headquarters will showcase next generation technology that is both simple to use and visually astonishing. There will be no space like this in the country,” according to New York Real Estate Journal. That report also notes the company now employs roughly 275 W-2 workers, up from about 235 at the time it acquired the Hauppauge parcel.

Local Leaders Cheer a Homegrown Win

Officials from Suffolk County and the Town of Smithtown attended the groundbreaking and cast the project as a sign that Long Island can still attract and keep growing firms, as Patch reported. County and town leaders praised the investment as a source of new jobs, a boost to regional pride and a notable addition to the Long Island Innovation Park.

Construction Timeline and Wider Context

Long Island Business News reported that tearing down and rebuilding, rather than renovating, should let Mason move into the new building sooner, with company leaders and their contractor expecting occupancy in about a year and the project generating roughly 100 construction jobs. The new headquarters is expected to centralize Mason’s staging and logistics operations and provide space to demo systems for healthcare, higher education and government clients.

What the New HQ Means for Mason's Business

Mason’s website notes that the company has completed more than 100,000 projects nationwide and installs an average of more than 10 million feet of cable and fiber each year, figures the firm says position it to use the new headquarters as a regional showcase. The company is nationally certified as a women’s business enterprise and says the expanded space will help it continue serving clients across New York, the Carolinas and Florida.
