A midday break-in on a quiet stretch of Osceola Drive has Pasco County deputies asking New Port Richey residents for help putting a name to a face.
Investigators say a man climbed through a window and entered a home in the 11200 block of Osceola Drive around 1:50 p.m. on June 23, then stole several items before leaving on foot. No arrests have been announced.
According to a Facebook post by the Pasco Sheriff's Office, an unknown white male went in through a window, took “various items,” and fled in an unknown direction. The post includes a clear photo of the suspect and asks anyone who recognizes him to call the PSO Crime Tips Line at 1-800-706-2488 or submit a tip online through the Pasco Sheriff's Office website, referencing case number 26022485.
Local burglary context
Home break-ins have been a recurring problem in Pasco County. Data compiled from FBI crime reporting and aggregated sites show the county recorded more than 2,400 burglaries between 2019 and 2023. Those numbers help explain why deputies frequently turn to the public for help when they have a clear photo of a suspect.
