
Police are putting up a $20,000 reward after a 28-year-old woman was stabbed on the 1300 block of West Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia on Monday evening and later died from her injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead at about 1:28 a.m., and the Homicide Unit has now opened an investigation into the killing.
According to NBC10 Philadelphia, the attack unfolded around 5:50 p.m., when the woman suffered multiple stab wounds on West Lehigh Avenue. Officers took her to a local hospital, where she was initially listed in critical condition before she succumbed to her injuries early Tuesday.

Per the Philadelphia Police Department, a $20,000 reward is on the table for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case. Investigators are urging anyone who saw what happened or has any information at all to contact the Homicide Unit or call the department tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477). Tips can be submitted anonymously.

This killing marks the latest deadly incident in North Philadelphia in recent weeks. Earlier this month, a pizza delivery driver was shot and killed in a separate case that also came with a $20,000 reward, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. Community members and local leaders have been pressing for answers as detectives continue to seek tips in both cases.
No arrests have been announced in the Lehigh Avenue stabbing. Police say the investigation remains active and that more information will be released as it becomes available.
