Downtown Birmingham just got a little more glamorous. Chef Luciano DelSignore has officially opened e Fiori, a hybrid Italian restaurant and retail floral studio that started serving guests on Wednesday in Willits. The concept is part big, lively dining room, part flower and gift "Shoppe," and built to flex between private events, nightly dinners, and weekday lunches.
According to The Detroit News, the Fiori sits at 115 Willits and can seat close to 200 guests, with the ability to bump that up to about 250 for private events. The kitchen will spotlight dishes from all 20 regions of Italy, and the restaurant is scheduled to serve dinner seven nights a week, with lunch offered Monday through Friday. The Shoppe, tucked into the same space, is stocked with florals and gifts sourced by designer Darin Lenhardt, and guests can book tables through OpenTable or by calling (248) 744-4000.
In a statement to The Detroit News, DelSignore described the vision this way: "e fiori is the room we built to hold all of it, a bottega in Birmingham where our table becomes yours." Co-founder and managing partner Nicole Antakli DelSignore is overseeing operations alongside the chef-owner.
Chef and the Team
DelSignore is no stranger to metro Detroit diners. He is a multiple James Beard Award nominee and a long-running presence in the local restaurant scene, operating Casa Pernoi and the Bigalora Wood Fired Cucina group, as noted by Hour Detroit. His Birmingham debut comes on the heels of the 2024 closure of Bacco, the Southfield restaurant he led for more than twenty years, a change first covered in a report on Hoodline.
Menu, Events and the Shoppe
The menu at e Fiori leans hard into regional Italian cooking and handmade techniques, with house pastas, whole-fish preparations, and wood-fired dishes inspired by Italy's diverse provinces. The dining room is laid out to handle quick weekday business lunches as comfortably as larger private gatherings in the evening.
The opening at 115 Willits was flagged as part of a busy slate of 2026 downtown arrivals by Birmingham By Design, and hiring posts for e Fiori hinted at a sizable front and back of house team ahead of launch, according to a job listing on LinkedIn.
For now, the crew is focused on taking reservations and filling out an events calendar. The restaurant's website offers a contact form and email sign-up for updates at efioribirmingham.com, where more detailed menu information and booking options are expected to roll out as service gets into a groove in the coming weeks.
