
An early Sunday crash on the northbound I-5 through Pacoima left one person dead and brought traffic to a standstill as firefighters, paramedics and law enforcement swarmed the scene. According to LAFD, crews were dispatched at 3:39 a.m. to a two-vehicle collision on the northbound 5 Freeway in Pacoima, where one individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The department listed Fire Station 98 and Valley Bureau units among those responding and noted that CHP Log #453 is handling the investigation.
