World Cup fever is hitting the Santa Clarita Valley, and local fans do not have to battle Inglewood gridlock to get in on the action. Santa Clarita Transit is rolling out targeted bus connections for riders heading to FIFA World Cup matches at SoFi Stadium and to official FIFA fan zones in Los Angeles, steering them toward commuter routes that link the valley with Metro shuttles and Union Station. The service is pitched as a relief from steep stadium parking fees and match-day traffic, and officials are stressing that riders check schedules closely, especially for night games when some final buses roll out before the last whistle.
In a June 25 post on the City of Santa Clarita Government, officials nudged riders toward the city transit page for details. The post directs fans to route maps, fare info and match dates, and points to the transit guide for step-by-step instructions on where to park, how to transfer and which options connect to FIFA fan zones.
How the connections work
“Skip the traffic, avoid expensive parking,” the transit advisory promises. Santa Clarita Transit is running Route 757 from the McBean Regional Transit Center to the North Hollywood station, where fans can board Metro’s World Cup shuttle, and Route 794 to Union Station for access to fan-zone events. As outlined by Santa Clarita Transit, riders can park at McBean, hop on Route 757 or 794, then transfer to Metro services that carry them toward SoFi Stadium and downtown festival sites.
Fares and shuttle details
Metro and partner agencies are running beefed-up World Cup shuttle service from park-and-ride locations. Metro reports that shuttles run about every 10 minutes starting roughly four hours before kickoff, with travel times to stadium drop-off points near SoFi running around 75 minutes each way. The idea is to cut down on private cars entering the stadium complex and to move crowds out more quickly after the final whistle.
Payments, timetables and return trips
Santa Clarita Transit lists Route 757 fares at $3 each way with a TAP card and notes that the Metro World Cup shuttle uses Metro’s standard $1.75 fare. Riders can also pay using contactless bank cards, mobile wallets or exact cash. Route 757 runs every 30 to 60 minutes, and the agency cautions that final return trips leave relatively early, at about 7:34 p.m. on weekdays and 7:15 p.m. on weekends, so “fans attending evening matches should carefully plan their return trip and verify schedules before traveling.” Santa Clarita Transit posts full timetables and pick-up times on its World Cup page.
Fan zones and planning tips
Fans skipping SoFi can still join the party downtown. Union Station will host an Official FIFA Fan Zone from June 25–28, reachable via Route 794 or Metrolink’s Antelope Valley Line. For match dates and stadium-specific schedules, riders are directed to the official Los Angeles World Cup guide and local coverage of SoFi games. Los Angeles World Cup 26 and the Los Angeles Times provide maps, kick-off times and tips for steering clear of the worst match-day traffic.
