A reported armed break-in on Springfield’s west side ended with a SWAT team at the door and two suspects in cuffs, according to police.

Springfield officers arrested a 16-year-old male and an adult woman identified by the city as Alissa Harrison on Thursday after a SWAT team executed a search warrant at a house on the 900 block of Sunset Avenue. Both are facing aggravated burglary charges, authorities said.

According to a city media release reviewed by the Springfield News‑Sun, patrol officers were first called to the home after reports that two people with firearms were attempting to enter a residence. Officers identified and located the suspects nearby, and the Springfield Police SWAT team executed a search warrant at the house that led to the arrests.

Where the Suspects Were Booked

The adult suspect was booked into the Clark County Jail, while the 16-year-old was taken to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center for processing through the juvenile system. Details about the county’s detention facilities are available on the Clark County Jail site.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to call 937-324-7685, according to the Springfield News‑Sun. Authorities did not immediately release further details about whether weapons were recovered during the warrant service.

Legal Context
