A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning after his bike slammed into an SUV in the south Las Vegas valley, according to police. The collision happened just before 3:30 a.m. on East Warm Springs Road, when officers say a vehicle pulled into the motorcycle’s path. The rider was thrown from the bike and later died at UMC Trauma. His name has not been released, as authorities are still working to notify his family.
According to the Las Vegas Review‑Journal, Metro investigators say a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling north on Placid Street and entered the intersection from a posted stop sign, pulling into the path of a westbound 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 on East Warm Springs Road. The front of the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Pathfinder, and the rider was thrown onto Placid Street, north of the intersection. Metro’s release, as outlined by the Review‑Journal, identified the Pathfinder’s driver as 33-year-old Pablo Ruiz. He suffered minor injuries, stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment while cooperating with investigators.
