Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office are turning to Apollo Beach neighbors for help identifying two juveniles who detectives say burglarized multiple vehicles in the Indigo Creek neighborhood. Investigators report the pair walked the community on the morning of July 6, got into at least one unlocked car and stole an item before moving along.

In a social media post on X, the sheriff’s office shared still images from the neighborhood and a short appeal for help. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the two juveniles entered Indigo Creek at about 10:47 a.m. on July 6 and are believed to have burglarized multiple vehicles. Deputies are asking anyone who recognizes the pair to contact investigators.

The agency is also steering tipsters to its non-emergency tip line and digital reporting tools. HCSO is asking anyone with information to call 813-247-8200 or send an anonymous tip through Tip 411. The department’s Tip 411 page walks through how to text tips, use the mobile app and upload photos or video for detectives, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

How neighbors can help

Investigators are urging residents to take a closer look at their home surveillance. That means checking doorbell cameras, reviewing any outdoor security footage and saving original video files and timestamps before sending anything to deputies.

They are also reminding drivers that simple habits can make a big difference. Locking vehicles, clearing valuables from view and quickly reporting suspicious people or cars are all basic but effective theft deterrents. Similar public safety pushes, including the “Lock It or Lose It” campaign, stress that unlocked vehicles are easy targets, per the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

What investigators have released

So far, the sheriff’s office has not released the juveniles’ names or said whether any arrests have been made. The agency’s social post repeats its call for community tips and asks anyone with potentially useful photos or video to get in touch with detectives, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Residents who think they recognize either juvenile are asked to call HCSO at 813-247-8200 or file a report through Tip 411. Crime Stoppers is also listed as an option for anonymous tips. Deputies are stressing that original video clips and precise timestamps can be critical pieces of evidence as they work to identify the two young suspects.
