A preliminary investigation determined that Walker had fallen from a moving vehicle. Why Falling From a Vehicle Is Often Fatal
Safety research has long shown that being ejected or falling from a moving vehicle often leads to catastrophic injuries and that restraints sharply cut that risk. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s occupant-protection data identifies ejection as one of the most injurious types of crash events, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety notes that people who are ejected are far more likely to die than those who remain inside the vehicle.
What Investigators Are Asking
Dallas police say the facts and circumstances surrounding how and why Walker left the vehicle remain under investigation and they have not released additional details. Detectives are asking anyone with information, including video, to contact Detective J. Morgan, #9739, at 214-425-9905 or [email protected], as listed in the department post.
