
Gunfire broke the late-night quiet in the West Farms section of the Bronx on Thursday, sending four men sprinting from a Belmont Avenue block and rattling residents already on edge.
The shots rang out just before 10:30 p.m. near Belmont Avenue and East Tremont Avenue, according to police sources. No one was hit, no property damage was reported, and officers quickly taped off the street while detectives began canvassing the area for witnesses.
Police say they are looking for four men who were last seen wearing white T-shirts and fleeing in an unknown direction, News 12 The Bronx reports. The outlet notes that video posted on the Citizen app appears to show officers securing the scene as they investigate. There were no arrests as of Friday morning.
