
Hernando County authorities are turning to the public and putting up cash as they search for a wanted fugitive in a child abuse case.
Hernando County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to the location and arrest of Bailey Noel Jacobson, born Oct. 21, 1990, county officials said Friday. Jacobson is wanted in case 2026-CF-915 on two counts of child abuse, and authorities list him with no bond pending arrest.
The Hernando County Sheriff's Office has posted a wanted notice on X, including a transcript that lists Jacobson's date of birth, the case number and a reported height of 5-foot-1, among other details, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office on X. The post notes that Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $5,000 for tips that help locate and arrest him.

The Sheriff's Office "Local Warrants" page points residents to the same phone line and online options for anonymous reporting, and it urges the public not to approach a suspect. Instead, people are instructed to share what they know with law enforcement and let deputies handle the contact.

The potential reward, paid through the local Crime Stoppers nonprofit, can be as much as $5,000 for eligible tips. To qualify, tipsters typically must contact Crime Stoppers first rather than going directly to law enforcement.
