Kenan Memorial Stadium turned into a sea of flashing blue lights on Thursday evening as police converged on the University of North Carolina venue to investigate a reported safety threat. Aerial video showed a cluster of marked patrol cars pulled up around the stadium while officers moved across the grounds. Authorities did not immediately report any injuries or arrests.
Sky 5's helicopter caught the response from above, and, according to WRAL, officers were on scene probing a safety threat and could be seen combing parking lots and concourses. In the brief clip, officers appear to walk the perimeter as sections of the complex are marked off with what looks like tactical tape.

The Chapel Hill Police Department lists 911 for emergencies and 919-968-2760 for non-emergency calls or to reach the records unit.
Kenan Stadium context
