
A house party in Thornton turned tragic early Sunday when a 44-year-old man was shot outside a home and later died at the hospital. Officers rushed to the scene, started life-saving measures, and then handed off care to emergency medics, but the victim could not be saved. Detectives remained at the scene for hours, working to sort out what led up to the gunfire.
According to 9News, dispatchers received an emergency call about a shooting in the 3600 block of East 91st Avenue. Officers arrived and provided medical aid until EMTs could take over, and the victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Detectives told the outlet the suspected shooter took off before police got there, and they are still working to identify and track down whoever pulled the trigger. The Adams County coroner will later release the man’s name.
