
One person died yesterday after being struck by a train on Columbus’ North Side, according to city police. Emergency crews and officers responded to the scene, and a stretch of track was temporarily closed while investigators examined the area and worked to piece together what happened.
Officers found the person on the tracks and later pronounced them dead as investigators processed the scene, according to The Columbus Dispatch. The outlet reported that the shutdown forced a pause in rail traffic on the city’s North Side while detectives worked at the location.
