Cleveland starts Monday under cloudy, muggy skies, with temperatures in the low 70s and a slight chance of showers before 7 a.m. The city should dry out as the morning goes on, with partly sunny skies and a high near 78 degrees.
Clouds Fade After A Damp Start
A north wind around 7 to 9 mph will help push the front east, while afternoon clouds gradually break up. The Cleveland office of the National Weather Service says scattered showers are possible early, but severe weather is not expected.
Monday night should be partly cloudy and noticeably cooler, with a low near 66. Tuesday brings mostly sunny skies and a high near 80 before clouds thicken late at night.
Wednesday Brings The Week’s Main Storm Chance
Showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday as a cold front moves across the area, with a 60% chance of precipitation and a high near 77. Rainfall should generally be light, totaling roughly a tenth to a quarter of an inch, and forecasters say the risk of severe weather and heavy rain is low for now.
Cooler, Calmer Weather Arrives Late Week
Behind the front, Thursday and Friday look mostly sunny with highs around 77 and overnight lows in the low 60s. Saturday stays mostly sunny and reaches about 78, though a few showers or thunderstorms could pop up after 2 p.m.
Another chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives Saturday night into Sunday, when the high should reach about 76. No watches, warnings or advisories are currently listed for the Cleveland area, but Wednesday’s unsettled weather could complicate outdoor plans and the midweek commute.
