Two-for-one tickets to 25 Broadway shows are now on sale for this fall's edition of NYC Broadway Week, covering performances running from September 8 through September 20. The lineup ranges from long-running hits like Wicked, Hadestown, and The Lion King to first-time participants including Titaníque, Just in Time, and The Rocky Horror Show.
The twice-yearly discount program, produced by New York City Tourism + Conventions in partnership with the Broadway League, uses the code 241BWSHOW for its 2-for-1 offer, according to CBS News. A separate code, UPBWSHOW, unlocks select seat upgrade opportunities, and as TravelPulse reports, ticket purchases require a minimum of two seats and are capped at eight per order.
Jason Laks, president of the Broadway League, said the League is continuing its partnership with New York City Tourism + Conventions to help audiences discover live theater, per the CBS News report. Julie Coker, president and CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions, said the program has generated more than $200 million in revenue since it launched in 2011 — a run that has now sold more than 3 million tickets, the outlet notes.
First-Timers Join a Deep Roster of Returning Hits
Beyond the marquee names, this fall's roster leans heavily on shows making their Broadway Week debut. Titaníque, the Céline Dion jukebox parody, is participating for the first time after transferring to the St. James Theatre in March 2026 following a three-year Off-Broadway run and a West End engagement, according to BroadwayDirect. The move, per that outlet, saw the show expand its staging and budget for its Main Stem bow.
Just in Time, the Bobby Darin jukebox biomusical at Circle in the Square Theatre, is also a first-time participant. The production currently stars three-time Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan, who took over the lead role in April 2026 from original star and co-conceiver Jonathan Groff, per TheaterMania. Other newcomers to the program include Schmigadoon!, Paranormal Activity, School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play, and The Lost Boys.
Returning shows round out the fall slate, among them The Book of Mormon and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York). The fuller lineup also includes & Juliet, Aladdin, Buena Vista Social Club, Chicago, MJ the Musical, Oh, Mary!, Operation Mincemeat, The Outsiders, Six, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and Maybe Happy Ending, according to the CBS News report.
Timed to Fill Seats After the Summer Rush
The fall dates aren't arbitrary. NYC Tourism + Conventions representatives noted that early September, right after Labor Day, is historically a slower sales window for theater as summer travel tapers off and school resumes — making Broadway Week a key promotion to boost early fall attendance, according to Newsday. The initiative helps operators maintain audience volume during that transitional stretch, the outlet reports.
To draw in regional families, the Long Island Rail Road is offering its Family Fare deal alongside the promotion, letting children ages 5 to 17 ride off-peak trains into Manhattan for $1 when accompanied by a paying adult, per the same Newsday account. Children under age 5 ride for free.
The discount push arrives on the heels of a record-setting season for the industry. The 2025–2026 Broadway season concluded in May 2026 with $1.91 billion in total gross revenue and 14.58 million total attendees across 74 productions, with venues averaging 90.8% seating capacity, according to the Broadway League. That gross marked a 1% increase over the prior season.
Sorting Through the Options
Shoppers overwhelmed by 25 options can lean on the official NYC Tourism booking platform, which lets theatergoers filter shows by categories such as Tony Award Winners, Genre, Accessibility, Last Chance, and New Participants, per City Life Org. Individual performance availability and blackout dates vary by show, so it's worth checking each listing before locking in dates.
The winter edition of NYC Broadway Week, which ran from January 20 through February 12, 2026, offered half-price tickets to 26 participating productions, including long-running hits like Hamilton alongside newer arrivals such as Chess and Ragtime, according to Best Broadway Musicals. New York City Tourism + Conventions also runs a sister campaign, NYC Off-Broadway Week, which held its winter 2026 edition from February 16 through March 12 across 26 productions using the promo code OBW26, and is set to return with a fall edition later this year, per CBS News.
