Brett Goldstein is bringing his stand-up act to Dallas this fall, with a November 20 show at the Music Hall at Fair Park as part of his Sex, Death & Small Talk tour. The Emmy-winning actor, best known to many as the gruff-but-lovable Roy Kent on Ted Lasso, is stopping in Dallas as one of three Texas dates on a run that also hits Austin and Houston.
The Dallas stop is part of a 13-city North American tour that kicks off October 23 in Madison, Wisconsin, and wraps December 6 in Boston, according to CultureMap Dallas. Tickets for the Dallas show went on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster, following venue presales that began August 19, and the event carries an age restriction limiting entry to guests 15 and older, per SeatGeek.
A Century-Old Stage for a Modern Star
The venue itself carries plenty of history. Completed in 1925 with Spanish Baroque architecture and Moorish influences, the Music Hall at Fair Park seats 3,420 people, making it one of the largest performing arts venues in North Texas, according to Wikipedia. The hall marked its 100th anniversary in October 2025, having served as the longtime home of Broadway Dallas since 1951, as noted by Broadway Dallas.
For Goldstein, the Dallas date arrives during one of the busiest stretches of his career. He recently earned a 2026 Emmy nomination for guest actor in a comedy series for his guest performance on Shrinking, the Apple TV+ series he co-created and executive produced alongside Bill Lawrence and Jason Segel, where he also appears as the recurring character Louis. That nomination adds to a résumé that already includes back-to-back Primetime Emmy Awards for his role as Roy Kent on Ted Lasso.
From Roy Kent to Rom-Com Leading Man
Goldstein has also been making noise on the film side. He co-wrote, produced, and starred opposite Jennifer Lopez in Netflix's romantic comedy Office Romance, which debuted at No. 1 globally with 20.9 million views in its opening weekend in June, according to TheWrap. The film marked a notable crossover moment, showing his pull as a leading man beyond the world of Ted Lasso.
His stand-up credentials are well established too. Goldstein's debut HBO comedy special, The Second Best Night of Your Life, premiered in 2025 following a sold-out North American tour and went on to earn nominations at both the Golden Globe Awards and the Critics' Choice Awards in early 2026, as reported by PhillyVoice. That success set the stage for the current tour bearing the title Sex, Death & Small Talk.
Mortality, Movies, and What Comes Next
Fans of Goldstein's comedic sensibility may recognize the tour's title as an echo of themes he has explored for years on his podcast, Films To Be Buried With, which he launched in 2018. Each episode structures its interview around guests imagining their own deaths and discussing the films that defined their lives, a format detailed by Podcast Review.
Goldstein isn't slowing down after the tour wraps, either. He's slated to create and star in an upcoming comedy series titled Escorted for Amazon MGM Studios, according to information from the Egyptian Theatre. The announcement of his fall tour also coincided with the release of Ted Lasso's fourth season, the Apple TV+ show that first brought him international recognition.
As with any live event, organizers note the Dallas show is subject to change due to weather or other concerns. The Music Hall at Fair Park is located at 909 1st Ave, Dallas, TX 75210.
