Police have reported a suspicious death inside a Sanchez Street residence near Duboce Park.

On Aug. 30th, police arrested a suspect in the Aug. 15th incident. The suspect resisted arrest and is facing multiple charges.

Capt. Sanford gave an hour-long briefing on his strategies to combat crime and clear out homeless encampments.

A person of interest has apparently been identified, but it's unclear whether he's a suspect.

Higgins was critically injured in an August 10th, 2014 beating near the intersection of Church and Duboce.

The meeting ran over three hours, but by the end of the discussion, Capt. Sanford announced that the crackdown was over.
