Goodbye Hootenanny, R.I.P. RNM?
We've got two apparent losses on opposite ends of the 500 block of Haight Street to report today.

First, reader Michael L. tips us to the end of the 9-year run of Hootenanny Nights at Cafe International. Organizer Richard Rice announced the monthly event's demise via email last Thursday. No word on the reason for the cancellation, but if you still want to get your hootin' on, get your hands on one of their compilation CDs while they're still available. Second, we learn via Eater SF (who learns via Grubstreet) that RNM chef Justine Miner is "pretty much done with the restaurant business," and apparently has no real intention of reopening the restaurant. She may be open to selling RNM -- or maybe not. So, that clears it up. Or not. We'll keep you updated with any developments!
