Fans of college football in the Pacific Northwest have got a fresh reason to tune in to their television sets this fall, as the Oregon State Beavers and Washington State Cougars have secured a lucrative TV deal that'll beam their home games across the nation. In an announcement made by the Pac-12, it's been confirmed that Oregon State's and Washington State's upcoming home games will be televised nationally on The CW Network and FOX Sports.

According to KGW, eleven of the Pac-12's 13 home games will air on The CW, with the remaining two games broadcasting on either FOX or FS1. In particular, the rivalry game set for September 14 at Reser Stadium between Oregon and Oregon State, has been picked up by FOX Sports, setting the stage for a widely accessible showdown.

A source privy to the negotiations told Mercury News, "It’s the best-case scenario." This deal symbolizes a lifeline of relevance for the programs as the Pac-12 Networks are winding down operations at the end of June. Leveraging its Bay Area production facility, the conference will continue to produce The CW broadcasts, ensuring high-quality telecasts that honor the history and energy of Pac-12 football.

Breaking down the specifics, Oregon State's Athletic Director Scott Barnes emphasized the commitment to visibility and fan accessibility, as reported by Oregon Live. “National exposure and the ability for Beaver Nation to easily access our games was a top priority during the process. Additionally, the ability to announce game times well in advance provides an improved experience for our student-athletes and fans,” Barnes stated. The planned scheduling anticipates various kickoff times, including a 3:30 p.m. start for the Beavers' opener against Idaho State, and a prime 5:30 p.m. slot for when they face Purdue on September 21.

Washington State has its own lineup with six home games; five will be televised on The CW. Their marquee matchup against Texas Tech has snagged a slot on either FOX or FS1. As the teams set their sights on the coming season, the spotlight has never been brighter, with both squads eager to showcase their talents in front of a national audience.
