Apparently, there’s a competition for bus operators and mechanics called the International Bus Roadeo. Much to my surprise - despite its delays and all - the New York City public transportation system seems to have taken home a win.
The event, which happens once a year, brings together bus operators and mechanics from transit systems across North America. They gather to partake in various competitions that showcase their driving and vehicle maintenance skills. Bus operators, for example, participate in events like clearing obstacles and making turns, while mechanics must excel in the identifying vehicle defects.
This year, the competition will take place on Sunday, May 15 in Charlotte, NC. I wonder what's the grand prize for such a competition...
