"I think the friendships I’ve made. My friends from college are the ones that will stay with me. We all get each other so well and I’m grateful for going to my college and meeting them.
I just never had such a deep connection with my friends in high school. I saw them in school but didn’t hang out with them much outside of it. And I also had a lot of acquaintances. I had a lot of people that I knew and talked to because we had the same classes and we would sit together on the bus. But I only had one friend that I would really hang out with outside of that.
In college, I had the freedom to explore and do what I want. I could go out when I wanted to and hang out when I wanted. I saw my friends every day and we made plans every week. I think that bond grew more than it ever did with my high school friends."
