New York City is considered to be one of the global fashion capitals, alongside Paris, Milan and London. It is home to a number of fashion events, including New York Fashion Week (NYFW), which is held semi-annually in February and September.
This year, I actually had the opportunity to attend my very first private runway show. Going into the event, I had no idea what to expect, but I ended up really enjoying the overall experience. I had a quick glimpse into the chaotic and often times cutthroat nature of the fashion industry.
My interest in fashion has since grown immensely. I’m particularly fascinated by street fashion because it is, in some ways, an art form.
I decided to start taking photographs of people I come across on the streets. This is New York fashion, particularly in Manhattan.
