One thing I learned while roaming the streets of Brooklyn is that people have a lot of good advice to offer. Every few blocks or so, I would come across some wise words written on building walls or spray painted onto the sidewalks.
This kind of advice can’t be found in my neighborhood in Queens. It seems to be unique to Brooklyn and Manhattan, particularly in the artistic hubs of the city where people are more likely to express their creativity openly.
In comparison, my neighborhood seems rather muted.
