Take a Free Trolley Tour of the Bronx

Every first Wednesday of the month (with the exception of January and September), tourists and local Bronxites can hop aboard a replica of an early 20th century trolley car for a free ride through the Bronx.

On the way, the trolley will make a “cultural loop,” stopping at some of the hottest cultural attractions and dining establishments in the borough.

The event is part of The Bronx Trolley: First Wednesday Arts & Culture Tour, which was launched by the South Bronx Cultural Corridor as a way to encourage arts participation and business development in Bronx’s lower Grand Concourse. The ride and admission to the participating venues along the way are completely free.

Passengers also have the option of hopping on and off at different stops along the route before the trolley returns and picks them up. In the past, participants have enjoyed free films, art exhibits and performances at over 30 participating cultural venues.
