Every few months or so, the building on the corner of 118 Orchard St. undergoes a dramatic facelift. It is home to Wallplay HQ (www.wallplay.com/spaces/118), a marketplace which acts as a bridge between corporate and creatives.

In order to support New York City’s creative community, it hosts unique brand and artist collaborations in its exhibition spaces around Manhattan. Both physical and virtual space is utilized in this mission.
To assist with visual storytelling at 118 Orchard St., Wallplay provides exhibitors with digital screens, art billboards and rooftop projections to display original digital content.
Due to its location five blocks away from the Williamsburg Bridge, the corner intersection experiences a heavy amount of foot and automobile traffic. On a daily basis, approximately 140,000 vehicles and 10,000 people past by.
Its most recent installation, the RIPNDIP NYC POP UP STORE (on display until June 12), easily stands out amongst other nearby brick buildings on the Lower East Side.

LORD NERMAL the cat decorates the Wallplay storefront and overlooks the city. Inside, guests can find toys and a collection of video art, which celebrates the launch of the spring 2016 line.
Among some of the stranger things you will encounter is a robotic cat being held by the Virgin Mary, a giant mural of Frida Kahlo with LORD NERMAL and futuristic stairwell featuring the WE OUT HERE ALIEN.
For more information, visit wallplay.com to keep track of the next pop-up installations. Artists can also submit their own work to be featured (wallplay.com/submitproject).
