So you want an unobstructed view of the sunset. While the feat is definitely tough to accomplish in the urban sprawl of New York City, there are a few places that will grant you the expansive view you’ve been dying to see.
1. 30 Rock
Although it will cost you some money, there is no other vantage point in the city that offers the same view as the one you’ll find on top of Rockefeller Center. The “Sun & Stars” ticket will grant visitors two visits (once in the day and once at night) to the Observation Deck. 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
2. High Line Park

3. Empire State Building

4. Fort Tryon Park
