In today's technologically driven generation, red flags are immediately raised when someone claims to not have a Facebook or Instagram account. On a daily basis, most of us flock to social media to share an update or to keep in touch with friends. These female Instagrammers, however, have harnessed the power of the Internet to build an entire online empire. (We just wished we had done the same.)
1. Jackie Gebel (@noleftovers)
As a NYC-based food and travel blogger/photographer, Jackie frequently shares glimpses of her culinary experiences with her followers. After graduating from Syracuse University, where she took classes on everything from culinary arts to advertising, she worked in the digital media industry and was able to merge her love of food together with the evolving world of social media. This is when Jackie created her own brand, NoLeftovers. She also runs her own blog.

2. Alice Gao (@alice_gao)
Although Alice Gao's account features a little bit of everything, including food, travel and the occasional fashion post, she focuses a lot on minimalistic interior architectural spaces. As a NYC-based travel and still life photographer, Gao is constantly posting "accumulations of small realities." Her work can also be found on her blog, Lingered Upon, and her online portfolio.

3. Jessica Siskin (@mister_krisp)
When Jessica Siskin was invited to a potluck birthday dinner, she took some Rice Krispies treats and molded them into a surfboard as a gift. Then she added a bit of food coloring into the mix and felt the need to make a Rice Krispies Treats cheeseburger. Positive public reception of her culinary masterpiece prompted her to continuing experimenting and in October 2013, Misterkrisp was born.

4. New Fork City (@New_fork_city)
New Fork City is an online culinary catalogue of food curated by Gillian Presto, Natalie Landsberg and Emily Morse. During senior year of high school, the three friends started the project as a way to combine their love of food with their passion for photography. Since launching in November 2013, New Fork City has gained a worldwide audience who contribute by submitting pictures of food.

5. MISSHATTAN (@misshattan)
Natalie was born and raised in New York, and worked in investment banking for two years before she realized her true passion of photography. Following her gut, she decided to leave her job to become a freelance photographer. Since then, she has been featured on publications like The Wall Street Journal and Vogue, and has partnered with brands like Nike and Beats by Dre (just to name a few).

6. Natalie Suarez (@natalieoffduty)
Natalie Suarez began modeling at the age of 15 and has been involved in the fashion industry for years. In 2009, NATALIE OFF DUTY was born out of her passion for photography, music, writing, modeling and style. Inspired by the “model off duty” on-the-go lifestyle, it is a forum for Natalie to share her experiences and various projects.
