Home base may be the only place where you can dine indoors with your dog (thanks, health code), but when the weather is warm, Atlanta is full of patios where pups are welcome. Whether you're seeking a casual beer or snack or a full meal, there are plenty of spots around town to take your dog for an alfresco dinner—or lunch, or brunch.

Cowtippers
Ansley Park/Piedmont Heights

Dinner, a movie, and your dog? It's all available on the patio at this Piedmont Avenue steakhouse, which screens a classic film on the projector every Thursday.

Elliott Street Deli & Pub
Castleberry Hill

Your dog will be rewarded with cold water and treats when you roll in at this neighborhood pub, known for its strong drinks, solid sandwiches and live music. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best nights to catch bands.

Gusto!
Buckhead/Virginia Highland

This duo of fast-casual spots specializing in healthy grilled fare welcomes dogs on both its patios, with water provided. You might even spot the owner, former NFL quarterback Nate Hybl, with his own pooch: Buckley, a Bernese mountain dog.

Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall
Old Fourth Ward

After taking your pup for a stroll or a cycle on the Beltline, drop in for a beer or brunch at Ladybird, whose huge outdoor area is often packed with other diners and their pooches.

The Lawrence
Midtown

With its open glass canopy, twinkle lights, and vegetation, this Midtown spot's patio is a great place to linger with your dog—and the extensive cocktail menu and creative dishes are both on point.

The Midway Pub
East Atlanta Village

Cornhole, bocce, a huge beer selection, and lots of space for dogs: this East Atlanta Village spot has it all. The trellised patio is a great place to hang with your pooch and enjoy a burger or some Guinness-battered chicken tenders.

Saltyard
Buckhead

The pup-friendly patio at Saltyard has carabiners to allow you to dine leash-free—which is perfect, since you'll want to give some attention to the excellent small plates, like fried brussels sprouts and salmon poke tacos. The kitchen often sends out special treats for canine guests, too.

Shake Shack
Buckhead/Dunwoody

You've undoubtedly heard of this burger behemoth, which has a two-story Buckhead outpost, but did you know they have a dog menu? While you savor your burger on the patio, your dog can enjoy a bag of dog treats, or a "Pooch-ini" sundae with treats and peanut butter.

Venkman's
Old Fourth Ward

Got a pooch and kids? Everyone can come along to the Saturday and Sunday morning movie brunches at Venkman's, which screens Disney classics (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid) and Star Wars for the youngsters, with $18 bottomless mimosas for the grown-ups.
