Whether they're shaken or frozen, whether it's Cinco de Mayo or Cinco de Octubre, whether you prefer salt or no salt, nothing hits the spot like a margarita. We've ranked our five favorite margs around town—from the traditional to the creative—to make your next Taco Tuesday or a Saturday-night fiesta a delicious one.
5. Naranjarita at Alma Cocina ($11)
Downtown
With 10 different kinds of margaritas, this contemporary Latin American spot has something to please everyone. But their breakout hit is definitely the sweet-and-sour Naranjarita, a blood orange marg made with reposado tequila, orange brandy, and fresh citrus. If the $11 price tag is a bit much, visit for happy hour on weekdays from 4-6pm, when a standard marg is just $5, along with tostada and taco specials.
4. Custom Margaritas at Tacos and Tequilas ($5.50-$30)
Various locations

With four locations around Atlanta, this family-owned Mexican spot has been on a roll since opening in 2010. The secret to its success: a massive margarita menu, which offers plenty of opportunities for customization. You can choose your size (12, 20, or a party-sized 60 ounces), your booze (high-end reposado tequila is just a few bucks extra), and your flavor. Popular options include the Fire & Ice, with homemade blackberry-raspberry-jalapeño syrup, and the Sangririta, which combines a classic margarita with sangria.
3. Bartaco Margarita at Bartaco ($9.75)
West Midtown/Inman Park/Chastain Park

This stylish Mexican chain, which boasts three Atlanta locations, is known for its top-notch cocktails, which include elaborate concoctions with Italian amaros and housemade hibiscus infusions. But if you're a margarita purist, it's hard to beat their house marg, which combines joven tequila with Combier orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar. If you're drinking with a group, you can order them by the carafe for $49.
2. House Margarita at Señor Patron
Midtown
If you're looking for a place with strong drinks and great deals, look no further than this modern Mexican spot, which discounts its margaritas two nights each week. On Mondays, you can get a 12oz, 32oz or 60oz house margarita for $3, $7, and $15, respectively, while on Thursday, a 12oz Texas margarita (made with reposado tequila) is just $5. As if that wasn't enough, 12oz house margaritas are just $3.50 during happy hour (weekdays, 4-7pm).
1. Margarona at No Más! Cantina ($14)
Castleberry Hill

No más translates to "no more" in English, and after a few rounds of the famed margaronas, a frozen margarita topped off with a bottle of Corona, you'll be saying the same. Luckily, there are some great $5 food deals at happy hour (Monday-Thursday, 4-7pm) to help lessen the blow on both your sobriety and your wallet.
