Pizza fans, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. The newcomer to Pioneer Square, called RPM PIzza & Records, is located at 240 2nd Ave S. (between S 2nd Avenue Extended & Main St).
The new eatery, which stands for Revolution Pizza Music (RPM), has taken over the empty corner space that used to house Il Corvo Pasta Studio and Pizzeria Gabiano.
According to its website, Harvey Ward Van Allen and Duffy De Armas envision their business to "be a haven where local music, past and present, could be center stage in a neighborhood deeply rooted in the heritage of Seattle’s music scene."
Expect to see an assortment of pizza options, including cheese, pepperoni, sausage & pepper, white pie, Hawaiian and more by the slice ($4.50-$5.50) or by the whole pie ($18-$24). For something lighter, go for the house or Caesar salad ($6) and wash it all down with beer, wine, Boylan soda or ginger beer.
Beside the food, the business has a curated wall of vinyl records for purchase. Check back on its website to see its full inventory.
The newcomer has gotten good reviews thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.
Dan B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 13th, said: "Went accidentally on opening day. Slices are 1/4 of a pizza, don't get two like I did, you'll wonder why it was so expensive and be over full. Could have been a little more caramelized/charred but everyone was rad and I love pizza so please stay."
Yelper Chris V. added: “Good pizza. I enjoyed the crust & the fresh ricotta cheese on my slice. The service was friendly but I thought the prices were a little high for a slice."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: RPM PIzza & Records is open Monday–Wednesday from 11am–10pm, and Thursday–Sunday from 11am–midnight.
