
The weekend is finally here, and there's plenty of fun in the offing for families spending the next few days in the city, from Legos to double-dutch, amphibians to superheroes—plus six outdoor movie nights to choose from.

Friday, August 25th

New to fabric row! Come celebrate the grand opening of Little Moon + Arrow, a children's boutique with hand crafted and locally made items. Pop-up by Mason Dixon, Little Baby's Ice Cream, and paper marbling crafts for kids!

Can't keep your hands out of a tub of LEGOs? We can't either. Do you dream of building something amazing with LEGOs? We do too! If this is you, come join us! Bring the whole family to see Moana, the story of an adventurous Polynesian teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. Come early to enjoy a performance by The South Pacific Island Dance Group, plus food from Poi Dog Philly and Pop Shop a Go Go. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy a free movie in beautiful Clark Park!

Wildlife Family Movie Night - Rio, 8:15pm
John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge At Tinicum, 8601 Lindbergh Blvd.
Bring your blankets and friends for three evenings of outdoor movie nights at the Refuge! Nature activities and crafts at 7:30 pm until the start of the film at 8:15 pm. Event will be held on lawn near the pavilion. Free!
Pictures In the Park: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, 8:30pm

It’s a bunch of your favorite movies made even better—with beers, seasonal cocktails, and all your friends. And there’s no better way to spend a Friday night than watching a movie al fresco at Dilworth. Just be sure to bring your own blanket or chair.
Saturday, August 26th
Superhero Weekend, 9am-5pm

Join us for two spectacular days of fun dedicated to the superpower of imagination and play. Children and their grown-ups are invited to dress up as their favorite heroes and enjoy amazing activities throughout the weekend. You’ll even have the chance to meet some famous friends! All festivities are included with general admission.
Weekend with the Creatures of the Deep, 10-3pm

This weekend is all about The Creatures Of the Deep! Come visit our jellyfish forest, meet author Donna Jo Napoli, go on a buried treasure treasure hunt, meet the original Little Mermaid, find Dory, and come to a Jaws beach party!
Bike Rodeo and Block Party, 11am-3pm
Philly Pumptrack at Parkside Evans, 5300 Parkside Ave.
Join us for a fun filled day at the track and get your FREE bike helmet thanks to the UCC! Prizes will be raffled off to those that visit the health education and screening table.Bring your bike or use one of our SE Bikes at the track and enjoy a day filled with fun activities for kids of all ages, free lunch and free health screenings.

Drop off or paint with your kids~ This is a fun activity for adults and kids alike. This painting will only be offered for the weekend of August 26th and 27th, so don't miss out!
Movies in the Park: The Secret Life of Pets, 8pm

On Saturday, August 26th, gather all of your fluffy friends to watch an outdoor screening of The Secret Life Of Pets at Burholme Park! The movie will begin RUFFly around 8:00pm on the lawn across from Ryerss Museum & Library, but arrive earlier for activites appropriate for the whole whole family.
Sunday, August 26th
Amazing Amphibians 2.0, noon-3pm

Breathing through their skin, they can tell us a lot about what is healthy and green. What are the amphibians in my neighborhood? How can they protect us? Learn just how special amphibians really are, and how they send out their frog symbols and protect us when we are in danger. We are calling all heroes: you are needed to sing, dress up, build your very own amphibian home, and say hello to a few amphibians; as a member of our Green Team.
KidsSpace in August!, 1pm-3pm
