'Cafe Bora' Brings Purple Desserts And More To KoreatownPhoto: Jina C./Yelp

A new spot to score desserts, macarons, ice cream and frozen yogurt has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 450 S Western Ave. in Koreatown, the newcomer is called Cafe Bora.

Cafe Bora (bora means purple in Korean), located on the third floor of the Gaju Market, specializes in Korean-style shaved ice treats (bingsoo) and all things purple, like the popular purple sweet potato flavored binsgoo, or the purple sweet potato soft-serve ice cream with a side of—you guessed it—purple sweet potato chips.

If sweet potato is not your thing, try the milk and red bean or strawberry bingsoo. There's also a matcha tiramisu, and five-berry sparkling water to wash it down.

There's just one review on Yelp thus far, which gives it five stars.

Jina C., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on August 14th, said: "My real rating would be a 4.5 but I will round up for this review. Cafe Bora is originally a popular dessert shop in South Korea and known for its beautiful purple desserts."

Cafe Bora is now open at 450 S Western Ave., so head on over to check it out.
