A new breakfast and brunch spot, offering coffee, burgers, and Mexican food, has made its debut in the neighborhood. The fresh addition to Sherman Oaks, called Myke's Cafe, is located at 14845 Burbank Blvd.
This new spot is Myke's Cafe's second location, joining its flagship store in Pacoima.
The breakfast and brunch menu features a variety of pancakes and french toast, like the Notre Dame Killer (red velvet pancakes made with cinnamon, topped with cocoa powder and cream cheese frosting) or the Raspberry and Blueberry French Toast (topped with lemon curd).
There are also Mexican breakfast favorites like huevos rancheros, huevos mexicanos, and chilaquiles. You can also build your own omelet if you like, or try a breakfast burrito with chorizo and potatoes, or huevos con mole (tortillas and beans, two eggs, mole sauce, cotija cheese, and cilantro with a choice of hash browns or country potatoes).
For lunch items, try the No Joke Burger (with pastrami, sunny side fried egg, Swiss cheese, mustard, lettuce, and pickles), or the "Bro Snickers Burger" (stuffed with Snickers and bacon, topped with cheese and more bacon, lettuce, green apple, and honey habanero aioli). With a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition is getting solid feedback from clientele.
J T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 19th, said: "Always visited the Pacoima location so I was super stoked to hear this one just opened up. Went on opening day and... still AMAZING! The food is the same killer menu."
Yelper Jarenn N. added: “This is a counter service restaurant where you place your order at the front and then take a number and find a seat. My fiancé and I ordered the huervos rancheros with hash browns.”
And Angel N. said: "I am so glad they opened Myke's Cafe at this location! Their pancakes are divine!!! My daughters love it! Definitely my new favorite breakfast spot."
