A new Asian fusion spot, offering noodles and more, has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Nipong Naepoong, the newcomer is located at 450 S Western Ave. in Koreatown.

Located on the third floor, it's the latest eatery that has opened at the new Gaju Marketplace, which houses a large food court and 54 retail stores.

Customers can expect to find "a new breed of culturally-fused noodle dishes from all over the world—China, Spain, Japan, Thai, Alaska, Mexico—to charm customers of all ages and race."

Nipong Naepoong's menu offers seven different pasta dishes, named after the countries listed above, as well as a salad. Currently the best selling item is the Italian Pong—and there are two "Alaska Pong" dishes for sale. (See the full menu here.)

If you're not feeling pasta, there are three pizza items (nae pizza, ni pizza, ninae pizza) to choose from instead.

Nipong Naepoong has just one review on Yelp, which gives it a five-star rating thus far.

Ye Seul J., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on July 29th, said: "Wow. Got the ku ppong. It's a cream based seafood pasta. Not too creamy but just right the noodles were also on point. Not over done but perfect. Price is almost $11."

Nipong Naepoong is now open at 450 S Western Ave., so stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood.
