A new spot to score coffee, tea and more has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 4059 W 3rd St. in Koreatown, the fresh addition is called SPL Coffee.
Open since mid-July, SPL Coffee is serving up an array of espresso drinks using beans from local roaster Lightwave Coffee, in addition to drip coffee, cold brew, hot chocolate, matcha, tea, and more (and they make all of their flavored syrups and sauces in house).
SPL also serves food and snacks to accompany your drink, offering quiche, spinach pastries, croissants, bagels, and assorted sweet pastries and chocolate chip cookies.
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival has already made a good impression.
Joseph J., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 15th, said: "SPL Coffee is a really nice space and addition to the neighborhood."
Yelper Jim A. added: “Great Coffee I tried their breve cortado. Pretty good. The shot was pulled pretty nicely. Had a nice brightness i look for in a cortado. They are in the soft opening right now.”
And Leah W. said: "Wow, what a GREAT new place!! I live in Koreatown so I'm always happy to hear of a new, cute coffee shop opening up and this was no disappointment! First off, and there's a parking lot!"
