Hungry? The Highlight Room Grill, a new Hollywood spot for brunch and all-day eats, has you covered.
The restaurant, located at 6417 Selma Ave. atop the recently opened Dream Hotel, bills itself as a spot "inspired by the socially fluid, eclectic energy of classic Hollywood." The Highlight Room is an 11,000-square-foot outdoor terrace, restaurant and lounge space with a mix of "insiders, intrepid travelers, and easy going locals over delicious locally-inspired food and handcrafted cocktails."
The eclectic brunch selection features dishes like the "Power" (turkey sausage, scrambled egg whites, roasted red pepper relish, greens, and chili sauce), and the "California Toad-in-the-Hole" (eggs, goat cheese, and calabrian chili baked avocado with twice fried potato and gem lettuces), along with Intelligentsia coffee, fresh squeezed juice and more.
After 11am, the menu transitions to an all-day selection, with appetizers (think oysters on the half shell, flatbread, and hamachi crudo), salads, and entrees like the crispy chicken sandwich, burger, grilled prawns, and skirt steak. The new arrival has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
My Two Cents C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 26th, said: "We stayed at Dream hotel on opening weekend, and although the hotel has some quirks to fix, the rooftop bar made up for it. Food was amazing!"
