If you've got Korean on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called ChiMac Star, the new addition is located at 3054 W 8th St. in Koreatown.

This new spot is all about Korean fried chicken, with nine different flavor profiles to choose from.

First, decide whether you'd like a whole or half chicken, just the drumsticks, wings or boneless bites; then choose from sauces like mayo and pickle, volcano sauce, wasabi, or "Snow Chicken" made with honey and butter. (For the traditionalists, you can order it plain).

Look for additional menu items too, like a spicy chicken stew and stir-fried chicken gizzard. There's a wide selection of Korean beer and soju on offer as well. (You can check out the full menu here.)

With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has already made a good impression.

Chad V., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 31st, said: "Tried the Snow chicken (made with honey butter) and Legend of spicy Sauce. Both were out of this world and perfectly fried. Loved the crispy texture and the juicy meat (including white meat)."

Yelper Jeenee Y. added: “Pretty darn delicious!!!! Homemade sauces are baammmmb! Sooo this place didn't do their grand opening yet but there were couple filled up tables upon my arrival.”

And Sam Y. said: "The menu includes a variety of mouth-watering foods. I had the sweet and spicy chicken wings complimented with a Korean delicacy also known as (mu) and other side condiments."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. ChiMac Star is open daily from 4pm–1am.
