Hungry? A new neighborhood Korean spot has you covered. Called Goo Ga Sul Lung Tang, the new arrival is located at 716 E 9th Pl. in Downtown.

Goo Ga Sul Lung Tang specializes in Korean comfort food and soups, with a variety of options to choose from. 

Featured on the menu are items like the restaurant's namesake, sul lung tang, an oxtail bone broth soup with brisket, minced garlic and spring onions; galbi tang short rib soup stewed with beef, radishes and onions; and yuk gae jang, a spicy beef soup with shredded beef and scallions. 

There are also an array of the ubiquitous banchan traditionally served with each dish as well. 

With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, Goo Ga Sul Lung Tang seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Andrew B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 18th, said: "AWESOME !!! Best Sul Lung Tang in L.A. Downtown. Super flavorful, super creamy but not greasy, and the beef and the green onion.. heavenly delicious! One of the best comfort food ever."

Yelper Jason L. added: “Yook gae jang is the best! Very delicious and full of flavor! Love it! The galbitang is also very good. The best part is the kimchee and radishes. Omg it's the best I've ever tasted.”

And shawn l. said: "One of the best galbitang I have ever tasted! The meat was tender and juicy and the soup broth was full of flavor. Loved the banchan too. The kimchee and kkakdugi is one of the best in LA."
