Fans of Middle Eastern food, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. The newcomer to Northridge, called Sipan Bakery Express, is located at 17646 Lassen St.
Sipan Bakery Express—which has another location in Glendale—specializes in traditional Middle Eastern fare with Southern California influences.
On the menu, expect to see items like falafel tacos topped with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, and tahini; chicken shawarma tacos with shredded lettuce, cheese, and chipolata sauce; a breakfast pizza with eggs, cheese, soujouk (Armenian spicy sausage), tomatoes, and black olives; and beef shawarma panini with tomatoes and onions.
Sipan Bakery Express has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Danny S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 14th, said: "Must try the falafel tacos. Great dine-in, with enough space to enjoy a good meal with friends and family. Simon is a fun chef, keeps you welcomed."
