A new cocktail bar and Chinese fusion spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Li Orient, the new arrival is located at 633 W. 5th St. in Downtown LA.

This newcomer is located in the US Bank Tower, and features elevated Chinese cuisine with lunch and dinner offerings, as well as "express" takeout service.

On the menu, expect to see dishes such as fried chickennoodles with Napa cabbage, spinach and bamboo shoots; Shanghai rice cakes with shredded pork and preserved vegetables; and braised beef noodle soup with carrots, green onion and cilantro.

Final details around the dinner menu are still being worked out, but if you're on the go, check out the express menu, which offers a choice of three entrées and a side for under ten dollars. (Take a look at the menu here.)

With a 4.5-star rating out of 14 reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Kristin V., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on January 25th, said: "Came check out what all the hype was about...Trust me when I say it's no hype! Downtown has a new hot spot. This place is located where the old McCormick's used to be."

Yelper Michael D. added: “Great experience! Loved the service, the eight wonders dumplings (xiaolongbao) was out of this world.”

And Joe Q. said: "For fine dining in the core of downtown, this beautifully renovated venue can't be beat. Chef Peter is a top chef that creates amazing dishes that will tantalize your taste buds."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Li Orient is open Monday–Saturday from 11am–midnight. (It's closed on Sunday.)
