Craving ice cream? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new addition to Century City, called Smitten Ice Cream, is located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., at the Westfield Century City Mall.
This new creamery—which was founded in the Bay Area and also has other outposts in Los Angeles—specializes in a scoop-to-customer concept, where each ice cream is made to order using liquid nitrogen.
There are a variety of seasonal and signature rotating flavors on hand, so expect to see ice creams like the "Nibby Peppermint Bark" with TCHO chocolate, peppermint candy and cocoa nibs; cookie dough with pretzels and chocolate chips; brown sugar with cinnamon shortbread; and classic vanilla. (You can check out current offerings here.)
With a 3.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far, Smitten Ice Cream is getting solid feedback from clientele.
Di T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on December 15th, said: "Some of the best ice cream I've had! A bit pricey, but you're at the mall. Go with the waffle cone."
Yelper Punya N. added: “I'm a big fan of Smitten Ice Cream and was happily surprised to see this new location in the Westfield Century City mall! They have the creamiest ice cream, and my favorite is the TCHO chocolate flavor."
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Smitten Ice Cream is open Monday–Saturday from noon–10pm, and Sunday from noon–8pm.
