SoCal chain Chronic Tacos recently opened in the Marketplace at El Paseo, specializing in customizable Mexican fare.
Diners can pick their base, ranging from a taco to a quesadilla. They can also select their proteins, which include carnitas and beer-battered shrimp.

Tap & Cellar is a new bar that features more than 20 craft brews on draught, a robust wine list and live music.
If you're going the beer route, look for offerings like North Coast Old Rasputin stout from Fort Bragg, Modern Times Ice lager from San Diego and Faction's Don't Tell Claudia triple IPA from Alameda.
As for the bar's wine selection, expect to see vintages like Californian cabernet franc, pinot grigio and French Kiss zinfandel.
