Located in the North Point Center, Tamari Robatayaki & Whisky Bar offers an upscale take on Japanese robatayaki, a traditional style of cooking meat and vegetables over a hot charcoal grill. Diners can also opt for sushi, ramen and other Japanese mainstays.

SoCal chain Chronic Tacos recently opened in the Marketplace at El Paseo, specializing in customizable Mexican fare.
Diners can pick their base, ranging from a taco to a quesadilla. They can also select their proteins, which include carnitas and beer-battered shrimp.

As for the bar's wine selection, expect to see vintages like Californian cabernet franc, pinot grigio and French Kiss zinfandel.
