Located at 1 Union St., The White Bull Tavern takes its name from a story involving William Blackstone, Boston's first English settler, who reportedly rode a white bull into the city in the 1600s, Eater reports. It specializes in modern American fare and offers 24 beers on draft, as well as signature cocktails.
Society Barbershop

Wander over to 770 Tremont St. (between Worcester St. & Springfield St.) in the South End and you'll find Society Barbershop. The establishment is owned by two local barbers with more than 20 years of experience between them, the business says on its Yelp page. It specializes in haircuts, fades and shaves.
Southern Proper

A new addition to the South End, Southern Proper specializes in classic and modern Southern fare and soul food. Located at 600 Harrison Ave. (between Monsignor Reynolds Way & Union Park St.), the eatery comes courtesy of chef Jason Cheek (Toro, Coppa), himself a native of Northern Carolina.
Target

A new small-format Target recently moved into the former Staples space at Roslindale Village. Located at 4165 Washington St. (between Worcester St & Springfield St.), the retailer carries clothing, groceries and products for the home.
Caffè Nero

Head over to 55 Northern Ave. (between Courthouse Way.) in South Boston Waterfront and you'll find Boston's newest Caffè Nero. The London-based chain has expanded rapidly throughout the greater Boston area, offering Italian-style coffee drinks and more.
Bootleg Special

Bootleg Special is a Cajun/Creole eatery that specializes in seafood boils and cocktails. It recently moved into 400 Tremont St. (between Arlington St. & Appleton St.) in the South End.
Roosters Men's Grooming Center

Roosters Men's Grooming Center recently expanded with a new Boston location at 121 Charles St., Unit 2. (between Revere St. & Pinckney St.) in Beacon Hill. It specializes in modern takes on classic barbershop services, including haircuts, beard trims and a signature seven-step facial shave with a straight razor and a hot towel.
Tasty Burger

Local burger chain Tasty Burger recently opened up at 1 Nashua St. in the West End, in the Avalon North Station development. Like its other outposts, Tasty Burger offers several different kinds of burgers and a variety of sides.
