Looking for a fitness center? A new business is here to help. The fresh addition to The UV (formerly University Village), called Edge Studios, is located at 448 Howe Ave.
The studio specializes in three different types of fitness: yoga, cycling and climbing. (Check out the studio's full schedule of classes here.) Amenities include a Himalayan salt wall and infrared heating in the yoga studio.
The studio's most unusual offering may be its 30-minute climbing classes. Instead of a climbing wall, the classes involve"Summit Power Tower" machines which combine upper body exercises and stair-climbing for a full-body workout.
"Whether you are a weekend warrior or a serious athlete," the business explains on its website, "we are committed to helping you find your edge!"
Edge Studios has two reviews on Yelp, which gives it a five-star rating thus far.
Julie L., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on February 26th, said: "Nice studio. I took the Basic Yoga class. I haven't practiced for five years; it was challenging but doable. The people and staff are very nice, and I felt comfortable going at my own pace."
Head on over to check it out: Edge Studios is open weekdays from 6am–9pm, and weekends from 6am–6pm.
