Lidl opened its first location in Raleigh back in November, amidst an expansion that has seen the rapidly expanding German grocery giant open stores across North Carolina.

Like competitor Aldi, Lidl keeps prices low by carrying an inventory comprised primarily of private label products, allowing the company to set prices below those of brand name goods.

With a four-star Yelp rating out 21 reviews, Lidl has been getting positive attention.

Yelper John D., who reviewed Lidl on March 21st, wrote, "What grocery shopping should be like. While traveling I've come across several of these stores, and they are all the same design, good for quickly knowing it is a Lidl grocery store."

Sara B. noted, "Interesting store. The best comparison is a bigger Aldi. There is plenty of parking. The store is clean and organized. You can find the basics as far as groceries go and some random interesting finds throughout the store."

Lidl is open daily from 8am–9pm.

Located inside the AC Hotel, Asian fusion eatery CO specializes in "bright, bold flavors from Southeast Asia that everyone can enjoy," the restaurant writes on its website.

The menu ranges from pho to sushi. Look for offerings like the spicy beef pho with sliced short rib and rare beef, garlic sesame tuna tacos with avocado and a Korean short rib banh mi with kimchi and gochujang aioli.

Yelp users are generally positive about CO, which currently holds four stars out of six reviews on the site.

Yelper Ron W., who reviewed CO on March 19th, wrote, "I popped into CO restaurant recently for a preview lunch and it was impressive! From the sleek and mod interior to the diverse menu (Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese), CO was hitting on all cylinders for me. "

And Benjamin C. wrote, "Service and food were great. Greg did an awesome job. We had the curry laska, firecracker roll and pad thai for the kids. They gave us a fried cheesecake dessert."

CO is open Friday and Saturday from 11am–11pm, and Sunday–Thursday from 11am–10pm.

This is the latest outpost in North Carolina for chocolatier Kilwins, which has multiple locations throughout the Midwest and the East Coast.

Kilwins's current rating of 3.5 stars out of three reviews on Yelp indicates the newcomer is finding its way, but it's still early days.

Yelper Mia C. wrote, "Kilwins' chocolate is absolutely delicious. I'm super excited there is finally a location in Raleigh. So far the location of very clean, courteous, and well staffed."

Holly K. noted, "I was happy to hear Kilwins was coming to North Hills! Kilwins is located in the Park Central building on the same side as Chuy's and Midtown Park. The store is huge and beautiful."
