A new Cantonese spot, offering dim sum and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 1211 Broadway in downtown Sacramento, the newcomer is called Ming Dynasty.

The new restaurant is a classic Cantonese and dim sum banquet hall, housed in the former Fortune House Seafood Restaurant space. During the mornings, it serves dim sum, which include options like shrimp dumplings, siu mai, chicken feet and noodle rolls.

Ming Dynasty also offers Cantonese dishes like stir-fried scallops and snap peas with XO sauce, chicken with salted fish and tofu braised in a clay pot, and simmered clams with bok choy in broth.

The fresh addition has gotten good reviews thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of 23 reviews on Yelp.

Kris C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on February 23rd, said: "Definitely a go-to dim sum spot. The staff was attentive and accommodating. It's not a fancy dim sum place, but a comfortable one for the family to go to on the weekends."

And Cindy S. said: "The menu is the same and food as delicious as before. The food is fresh and prices are reasonable. Also portion sizes are appropriate for family-style sharing. "

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Ming Dynasty is open weekdays from 11am–10pm, and weekends from 10am–10pm.
